In a landmark moment for the UAE’s maritime future, the Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy proudly celebrated the graduation of its inaugural batch—194 bold and brilliant students—in a grand ceremony attended by none other than His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. Held at the prestigious ADNEC Centre, the event was a powerful testament to the UAE’s commitment to nurturing homegrown talent and steering the nation toward a brighter, more sustainable, and globally competitive maritime industry.
The ceremony wasn’t just a graduation—it was a declaration. Sheikh Khaled congratulated the fresh graduates and their families, affirming their vital role in the UAE’s ambitious plans to become a powerhouse in global maritime transport and logistics. He praised the Academy’s mission to equip the country’s youth with world-class education, cutting-edge technical skills, and industry-ready expertise.
Since its establishment in 2019 and welcoming students in 2021, the Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy, under the umbrella of AD Ports Group, has already set impressive benchmarks. Offering eight core academic tracks and 13 specialized diplomas ranging from marine engineering to shipping operations, it’s a one-stop hub for future sea captains, logistics wizards, and marine tech trailblazers. With over 446,000 training hours, 150 programs, six state-of-the-art simulators, and partnerships that span the globe, this academy is more than a school—it’s a launchpad.
His Highness’s presence, alongside remarks from AD Ports Group Chairman Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi and Academy President Dr. Yasser Al Wahedi, spotlighted how the Academy is shaping the future of maritime employment and innovation. With 85% of students being UAE Nationals, the Academy is also proving to be a beacon of national pride and progress.
