Abu Dhabi is turning up the heat in the global food arena with Global Food Week 2025, a spectacular gathering that’s uniting 75 countries, 2,070 exhibitors, and some of the brightest minds in the fields of food security, agritech, and sustainability. Hosted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the event at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi is more than just an exhibition—it’s a revolution on a plate. From smart farming solutions to alternative proteins, the week-long festival is redefining how the world grows, eats, and sustains itself in the face of mounting global challenges.
With over 33,000 square meters of innovation-packed space, the event is seeing record-breaking participation this year, featuring new highlights such as the AgriTech Forum, the Agricultural Investment Exhibition, and the groundbreaking Protein Alternative (PALT) initiative. National companies form over half the participants, reflecting the UAE’s strong domestic commitment to agricultural innovation, while 543 first-time exhibitors are bringing fresh global perspectives to the table. The energy is palpable, as industry leaders, researchers, and government officials converge to address critical challenges like food scarcity, climate resilience, and smart technology integration in agriculture.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) is taking center stage, showcasing cutting-edge projects in artificial intelligence, smart inspection, and honey production technology, while also unveiling a “Golden Food Product List” to celebrate local excellence. The Authority is also signing a series of MoUs with global entities to strengthen international collaboration in food security. Meanwhile, the parallel Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition and Date Palm Exhibition are bringing flavor and tradition to the mix, spotlighting 17 date-producing countries and over 90 booths of premium agricultural innovation.
As billions in trade deals are expected to be inked, Global Food Week 2025 positions Abu Dhabi as the epicenter of global food transformation—a city where innovation meets tradition, and where the seeds of a more sustainable, food-secure future are being sown today. 🌱
