The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) welcomed a high-level delegation from Singapore to highlight the UAE’s robust nuclear regulatory system and share best practices in governance, safety, and oversight. The visit reflects growing international interest in the UAE’s model as countries explore nuclear energy to enhance long-term sustainability and energy security.
During the engagement, FANR officials presented an overview of the UAE’s comprehensive legal and regulatory framework, developed in alignment with international standards set by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Discussions covered licensing procedures, inspection protocols, radiation protection, emergency preparedness, and nuclear security measures.
