Dubai has confirmed full readiness for the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations, ensuring that the global event is conducted safely and efficiently, reflecting the emirate’s reputation for hosting world-class festivities. The Event Security Committee (ESC), along with key government and private-sector partners, has implemented a comprehensive set of measures covering security, traffic management, emergency services, healthcare, and media operations, aimed at providing a seamless and memorable experience for residents and visitors alike.

This year’s celebrations will feature 48 fireworks displays across 40 locations, including iconic landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Frame, Atlantis The Royal, and Expo City Dubai, as well as public beaches and desert areas. To ensure smooth operations, the city has been divided into multiple operational sectors, with dedicated teams overseeing coordination, crowd management, and public assistance. Support and service tents, numbering 37 across key locations, will provide first aid, lost-and-found services, and logistical support. Special arrangements have been made for workers, with designated viewing areas equipped with meals and large screens.

Security and emergency preparedness are central to the planning. Dubai Police has deployed nearly 10,000 officers, supported by patrol vehicles, bicycles, mounted units, and marine security boats. Civil Defence has mobilized over 1,700 firefighters and 156 specialized vehicles, including firefighting boats, while ambulance teams will operate from 236 points across the emirate, with rapid response units, mobile medical warehouses, and specialized vehicles to ensure prompt care. Volunteers from the First Responder programme and community support units will assist in key locations, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to shared responsibility and civic engagement.

Traffic management has been meticulously planned, including road closures around major venues, expanded public transport services, and continuous operation of the Dubai Metro and Tram to handle the increased passenger load. Advanced technologies such as AI-driven traffic monitoring systems and real-time data analytics will guide operational decisions and support crowd and transport management.

Healthcare and public safety measures are fully integrated, with hospitals, clinics, and field medical points on alert, complemented by proactive public guidance on safety and health. Media coverage will be extensive, with live broadcasts and programs celebrating Dubai’s achievements and cultural heritage.

Dubai’s readiness for New Year’s Eve 2026 demonstrates its capacity to host large-scale international events safely, combining cutting-edge technology, operational excellence, and community participation to deliver a world-class celebration that ensures enjoyment, safety, and lasting memories for all attendees.
