Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has successfully completed a series of vital infrastructure projects in the Al Quoz Creative Zone, reinforcing the emirate’s vision of creating people-centric, sustainable, and innovation-driven urban spaces. These developments significantly enhance accessibility, mobility, and safety for residents, visitors, artists, and creative professionals working in the area.
One of the landmark achievements of the project is the construction of a 45-metre pedestrian and cycling bridge. Designed to seamlessly connect key areas within the Creative Zone, the bridge ensures safe and uninterrupted movement for pedestrians and cyclists. By separating non-motorised users from vehicular traffic, the bridge improves safety while encouraging walking and cycling as healthy and eco-friendly transport choices.
In addition, RTA has established three modern mobility hubs strategically located across the zone. These hubs act as integrated transport points, providing convenient access to various mobility options such as public transport links, shared mobility services, and last-mile solutions. The mobility hubs are designed to reduce dependence on private vehicles, ease traffic congestion, and support smooth movement within the district. Their placement reflects RTA’s commitment to smart urban planning and efficient transport integration.
Complementing these developments is the creation of 4 kilometres of dedicated pedestrian and cyclist tracks. These well-planned pathways ensure continuous, safe, and comfortable movement throughout the Creative Zone. The tracks are designed to meet international standards, supporting daily commuting as well as recreational use. By prioritising active mobility, the project promotes healthier lifestyles and reduces the environmental impact of short-distance travel.
Collectively, these infrastructure upgrades play a crucial role in supporting Al Quoz Creative Zone’s transformation into a vibrant cultural and creative hub. Improved connectivity and mobility not only enhance quality of life but also attract businesses, entrepreneurs, and creative talents to the area. The projects align with Dubai’s broader sustainability goals and its ambition to become one of the world’s most liveable cities.
Through these completed initiatives, RTA continues to demonstrate its dedication to innovative transport solutions, sustainable development, and urban environments that place people at the centre of design and functionality.
