Miral Launches Impact Fund to Drive Measurable Social and Environmental Change in Abu Dhabi

Miral has launched the Miral Impact Fund in partnership with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, marking a significant milestone in advancing social and environmental responsibility across Abu Dhabi. The fund represents a strategic evolution of Miral’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) approach, shifting from traditional initiatives to a structured, transparent platform focused on delivering measurable and long-term impact for communities and the environment.

Designed as a catalyst for responsible growth, the Miral Impact Fund focuses on four key pillars: Conservation, Art and Culture, Health and Wellbeing, and Education and Skills Development. Each pillar is supported through targeted programmes and initiatives that aim to address Abu Dhabi’s evolving social and environmental priorities while contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future.

The fund was officially launched in the presence of senior government and industry leaders, reflecting strong alignment with Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030 and the emirate’s commitment to sustainable development. Through its partnership with Ma’an, the UAE’s official channel for receiving and deploying social contributions, the fund provides a credible and effective mechanism for both corporate and community stakeholders to contribute to impactful projects. This collaboration ensures robust governance, transparency, and accountability in how funds are allocated and utilised.

One of the key strengths of the Miral Impact Fund lies in its focus on measurable outcomes. By tracking and evaluating the social and environmental results of supported initiatives, the fund ensures that contributions lead to tangible benefits for communities, ecosystems, and future generations. This approach strengthens trust among partners and reinforces Miral’s dedication to creating lasting value beyond its core business operations.

The fund’s inaugural initiative, Guardians of the Arabian Gulf, led by the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center, highlights its commitment to conservation. The programme aims to protect marine ecosystems and endangered species while developing future conservation leaders through education and hands-on engagement.

Underpinned by a strong governance structure, the Miral Impact Fund is overseen by a steering committee comprising representatives from Miral and the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an. This ensures strategic direction, effective oversight, and responsible management of all contributions.

By inviting organisations, partners, and individuals to participate, the Miral Impact Fund fosters collective responsibility and community engagement. Through this initiative, Miral reinforces its role in shaping a sustainable, inclusive future for Abu Dhabi, where social progress and environmental stewardship go hand in hand.
