The United Arab Emirates has confirmed that it has not altered its defence stance despite escalating regional tensions, reiterating that its position remains firmly rooted in safeguarding national sovereignty and protecting its people. Officials emphasised that the country’s military and security posture continues to be purely defensive, guided by international law and the principles of self-defence.
Authorities revealed that more than 1,000 hostile aerial threats and attacks have been successfully intercepted, demonstrating the effectiveness and preparedness of the UAE’s integrated air defence systems. These interception operations, they noted, were conducted strictly to neutralise imminent risks and prevent harm to civilians, critical infrastructure and economic assets. The government stressed that these measures reflect a proactive security strategy designed to ensure stability without escalating conflict.
In addressing speculation, the UAE categorically denied any involvement in broader military confrontations or offensive operations. Officials underscored that the country is not a party to external conflicts and has not deviated from its longstanding approach of de-escalation and diplomatic engagement. They reaffirmed that all actions undertaken have been within the framework of legitimate self-defence, as recognised under international conventions.
The leadership also highlighted the importance of national unity and public confidence during sensitive periods. Residents were assured that the security situation remains under continuous monitoring, with specialised teams assessing developments around the clock. Authorities stated that contingency plans are in place to respond swiftly to evolving circumstances while ensuring minimal disruption to daily life.
Furthermore, the UAE urged the public to rely exclusively on official channels for information and updates. Officials warned against the spread of misinformation, particularly through social media platforms, noting that unverified reports can create unnecessary concern and confusion. Transparent communication, they stressed, remains a cornerstone of the country’s crisis management framework.
By reaffirming its defensive posture and commitment to lawful self-protection, the UAE seeks to maintain regional stability while prioritising the safety, resilience and security of its citizens and residents.
