UAE residents expected to have 9-day holiday for Eid al Fitr in 2024

As we move forward in the year residents of the UAE can look forward to their break, on New Years Day, which falls on Monday, January 1 2024. This is a holiday that offers a much needed respite for people across the Emirates.

Looking ahead we have another holiday on the horizon. Eid al Fitr. This celebration follows the month of Ramadan. Brings with it anticipation. Its expected to be a holiday period spanning a nine days giving residents ample opportunity to relax and enjoy various leisure activities.

Astronomers have made predictions indicating that Ramadan will begin on Monday, March 11 2024. If these predictions hold true Eid al Fitr in 2024 will be observed on Wednesday, April 10 2024. This forecasted date serves as a guide for planning and organizing activities during this season.

Eid al Fitr holds religious significance for the Muslim community as it marks the end of Ramadan. A month dedicated to fasting, prayer and reflection. Traditionally characterized by gatherings, feasts and gift exchanges among loved ones; this occasion creates a sense of shared celebration, within the community.
