UAE’s Paralympic’s Alaryani wins gold medal at Paralympic Shooting World Championship in Al Ain

Abdulla Sultan Alaryani, a Paralympic shooter, from the UAE achieved a deserved gold medal in the mens 50m rifle event competing in the SH1 category at the ongoing Paralympic Shooting World Championship held in Al Ain. With a score of 452.3 points Alaryanis outstanding performance brought pride to both himself and his nation.

Under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Zayed Charitable Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council this championship has attracted 213 athletes from 20 countries. The event is organized by the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO). Is taking place at the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting Golf Club in collaboration with the International Paralympic Shooting Federation and the International Paralympic Committee.

Al Ain has emerged as a hub for showcasing excellence in Paralympic sports throughout 2023. In addition to hosting the Paralympic Shooting World Championship it is also home to the Paralympic Archery World Cup. This Emirati city has become a stage where para athletes demonstrate their determination and exceptional skills on a platform.

The triumph of Abdulla Sultan Alaryanis gold medal further amplifies UAEs growing success in promoting and supporting athletes with determination within Para sports domain. It exemplifies their commitment, towards nurturing talent and fostering sporting opportunities.
