The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates summoned the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran following recent attacks targeting Emirati territory. The move reflects the United Arab Emirates’ firm diplomatic stance in defending its sovereignty, national security, and territorial integrity.
During the official meeting, the Ministry strongly condemned the attacks, describing them as clear violations of international law, the principles of good neighbourliness, and the Charter of the United Nations. The United Arab Emirates emphasised that any aggression against its territory is unacceptable and represents a direct threat to regional stability and civilian safety.
The Ministry stressed that such actions undermine diplomatic engagement and risk escalating tensions across the region. Officials reiterated that the United Arab Emirates has consistently advocated dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and multilateral cooperation to ensure security and stability in the Middle East. However, it made clear that the country reserves the full right to respond within the framework of international law to protect its people and national interests.
The protest conveyed to the Iranian ambassador included a formal demand for the immediate cessation of any hostile actions and strict respect for the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates. The Ministry warned that continued violations could result in serious diplomatic and economic consequences, reflecting the seriousness with which the leadership views national security matters.
The United Arab Emirates also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stability, protecting civilian infrastructure, and ensuring that its territory is not drawn into broader regional conflicts. By taking swift diplomatic action, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs signalled that safeguarding sovereignty remains a top priority.
