The Roads and Transport Authority has inaugurated a new 1,000-metre, two-lane bridge at the World Trade Centre Roundabout, marking a significant step in enhancing traffic efficiency across one of Dubai’s busiest corridors. The infrastructure upgrade is designed to improve vehicle movement from Sheikh Zayed Road towards Al Karama and Deira, two key residential and commercial districts.
The newly opened bridge aims to reduce congestion, streamline traffic distribution, and shorten travel times, particularly during peak hours. As Sheikh Zayed Road serves as a central arterial route linking major business districts, including the Dubai International Financial Centre and Dubai World Trade Centre, the improvement is expected to deliver measurable benefits for commuters, logistics operators, and public transport services.
