OpenAI and G42 Join Forces to Boost AI Innovation in the UAE

OpenAI has made a groundbreaking move, by partnering with G42, a known tech conglomerate based in Abu Dhabi. Their goal is to accelerate the adoption of intelligence (AI) in the Middle East in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other important markets. This collaboration marks a step in advancing technology capabilities within the region.

G42, which was founded by Abu Dhabis emirate has expressed its intention to utilize OpenAIs state of the art AI models across sectors such as finance, energy, healthcare and public services. Although the financial details of the partnership have not been disclosed it is expected to play a role in strengthening the UAEs growing technology industry.

This joint initiative comes following G42s accomplishments in the field of AI. In July they proudly announced their collaboration with Cerebras Systems. An US based AI company. To develop the worlds supercomputer dedicated, to AI training. This remarkable achievement is set to enhance AI capabilities and position the UAE at the forefront of AI innovation.

Additionally Abu Dhabis Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) has been actively contributing to advancements in the field of AI.
In May ATRC decided to make their Falcom 40B large language model (LLM) available, as source enabling researchers and businesses to utilize its capabilities for both research purposes and commercial applications. This step is in line with the goal of promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing in the AI field.

The partnership between OpenAI and G42 highlights their dedication to driving progress and fostering innovation in the Middle East.
