In a game-changing move that sends a clear signal about the UAE’s rising influence in global energy markets, ADNOC Gas has inked a landmark three-year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply deal worth a jaw-dropping $400 million (AED1.5 billion) with Germany’s SEFE – Securing Energy for Europe. With deliveries set to begin this year, this mega-deal will see 0.7 million tonnes of LNG shipped from ADNOC Gas’ iconic Das Island liquefaction facility—a powerhouse that has been exporting LNG globally since 1977. Das Island, with its 6 million tonnes per annum capacity and over 3,500 cargoes launched to date, continues to assert itself as the beating heart of the UAE’s natural gas prowess.
The agreement fortifies the UAE’s commitment to international energy security, particularly at a time when Europe is seeking diversified and dependable energy partners.
